    Technical and Installation Guidance

    • Steering Angle Sensor Warning: This replacement kit contains the physical clock spring assembly and wiring loom connection points. It does not replace the separate electronic steering angle sensor module. Your original angle sensor must be carefully unclipped from the back of the old clock spring and transferred over to this new replacement unit during assembly.
    • Safety Precautions: Because this install requires extracting the driver side steering wheel airbag explosive inflator, the vehicle battery must be completely disconnected for a minimum of 15 minutes before assembly begins to exhaust residual electrical capacitor energy.
    • Centering Instruction: Ensure the wheels are tracking completely straight and the new clock spring unit remains locked in its centered index position until fully installed on the steering column splines to avoid tearing the inner ribbon wire upon initial turning.
